Steps

To remove the old batteries and replace with new, do the following:

  1. Locate the screw on the bottom of the dalek. The following illustration displays the location of the six screws.
  2. Insert screwdriver and turn left to remove the screws.
  3. Remove the cover and old batteries.
  4. Insert new batteries, ensuring the same direction as the old ones.
  5. Put the cover on, insert the screw, and turn right until tight.

Operating Instructions

To operate the dalek:

  • Turn it upside down to access the switch.
  • The switch has three positions:
    • Top or bottom: Dalek moves forward.
    • Center: Off.
    • Bottom: Speech off.
  • Front sensors detect the surface edge, causing a 45-degree pivot.
  • In the foremost position, the dalek says, “exterminate.”

  • White sensors on the bottom allow the dalek to sense the surface edge, and the wheels enable direction changes.
